![]() Still I linger, waiting, rendering in old 2.79.without IPR. It's a real shame not hearing any news from the Chaos team, even worse, feeling absolutely ignored by them, as if purchasing the standalone V-ray version for blender was not worth the development. Since cycles lacks speed and functionality of what I am used to I can't just adapt to it so I need to look at a third party solution and as it seems more and more likely that solution will have to come from somewhere other than Chaos Group.I feel the same, even Redshift has now got a proper/modern blender integration, and also the latest Renderman 24. Existing workflows or usability habits shouldn’t be broken without good reasons with general agreement and clearly communicated in advance. I love vray and out of all the render engines I tested it's still my favorite to use but after this long silence it seems foolish to keep clinging to hope of anything becoming available in a timeframe I can financially plan. The general guideline will be to keep Blender functionally compatible with 2.8x and later. ![]() ![]() I know this just repeating the same talking points at this time but damn I so disappointed about the silence regarding any new information about the vray port.Īt least for freelance work I adapted Blender a year ago to keep my running costs as low as possible and was quite excited seeing a couple of screenshots and videos pop up regarding process of porting the newest vray version to blender.
